What A Blessed Beginning has been up to... Fall/Winter 08/09
We have enjoyed a summer of getting to know birth moms. Sherry has helped a few moms deliver their babies. Our pregnancy care center has mainly been used for prenatals, and pregnancy counseling. We offer midwifery care, along with free pregnancy testing and counseling, fertility awareness and childbirth education. We are working harder than ever to think of avenues in our rural community to find birth moms before they choose termination. The nearest crisis pregnancy center is 45 minutes away. They say that pregnant moms from our area in crisis do not come to them… So where are they going??? We’ve got to find them! A HUGE thank you to all of you who sent baby clothes and items to be used. What a blessing they have been. If you could have only seen the face of the mom who had no girl clothes (and she had just found out she is having a girl when they thought for sure it was a boy) as she looked through the box of nice baby clothes and chose a few items.
The gift baskets for moms and babies went very fast. We are looking at putting together some more.

Prefer Christian messages. •Books on pregnancy and child raising, marriage and cookbooks for busy moms. We welcome your kind donations. With your help, A Blessed Beginning is a special place for mothers to share with other mothers all about being a mommy.
