Fleger Family…

We are a Christian homeschooling family of 7.  My husband and I have been married since 2000, and we very much love the Lord and the blessings we have received so far.  We are so thankful, and are open to having more children.

We believe that God sent His only Son to die for our sins on the cross.  Jesus is the only way to heaven, and His love for us is immeasurable.

 Our Desire to Adopt…

We believe that ALL children are a gift from God.  We also believe that a Christian homeschooling family is able to give children opportunities and enrichment that they might not receive from the state.  We know that we will love any child unconditionally.

 Dear Birthmom,

Hello, My name is Tracey.  I am very interested in possibly adopting your child.  This must be the hardest decision you have ever made -- to be giving your child to someone else to raise and love.  I commend your courage and for loving your child so much that you want them to have the best life possible.

My husband, Chet, and I are in our early 40's and currently have five children of our own who are 14 (a horse-loving girl), 11 (a sports-loving girl), 8 (my Lego-loving boy), 5 (who wants a baby brother or sister more than ANYTHING), and 3 (my little monkey boy who is into everything and is learning his letters and numbers).  They are all very loving children and are very excited (as we are) about getting a new brother or sister to love and cherish.

We live in rural Maine and have a lovely 4-bedroom home with over 2,500 sq. feet of living space in a very nice neighborhood.  We love animals, as well, and have two very loving dogs, two silly cats, one cute hamster, and a few fish.

Although none of our children have any special needs, most of them would be considered "delayed" in one form or another.  However, homeschooling has given them every opportunity to grow at their own pace.  I have been a stay-at-home mom for over 14 years, and have enjoyed every minute of it.

We love the Lord Jesus Christ and put Him and God's word first in our home.  We are very active at our church and the children have a wonderful social life with their friends who are believers as well.

My parents live in Michigan, but we see them for about one month out of the year and they are very loving towards their grandchildren.  We have a few adopted children in our family, and my parents always love them just as much as the biological grandchildren.  To them there is no difference.

Holidays are always very special in our family.  We spend Christmas either at our home or by traveling to Michigan to be with aunts, uncles, grandparents, and cousins.  There are a lot of us and we have a wonderful time together.  We love each other very much.

The reason we have chosen special-needs adoption is that we believe that every child deserves the same chances in life.  I have known many special-needs people, and have been blessed by them all.  I look forward to meeting, falling in love with, and taking care of your child if you chose to let us.

Again, I'm so sorry that you had to make this decision, but I applaud you for doing what you feel is the best for your child.

We are very open to having a semi-open adoption where you can receive photos and letters about your child every year.

If you wish to contact me at any time, please feel free to email me at traceyfleger@yahoo.com.  We'd love to get to know you!

God Bless,

                    Chet and Tracey Fleger
