Randy and Cheryl Raaum,
We are a very close and loving family. I am a stay at home Mom and I love my job. Randy is a Pastor and he loves his job. It gives him flexibility so he doesn't miss out on the kids’ school concerts and special times. We both love helping people.
Christie is 16. She is very loving and excited about adding another little brother to our family.
Heather is 14. She loves horses and babies. Once you become a friend, you're a friend for life.
Katie is 13. She is organized and loves to cook. She also loves babies and little kids.
Meagan is 11. She is studious and loving. She'd give you the shirt off her back.
Bethany is 9. She is very confident and caring. She loves to "take care" of others.
Levi is 3 1/2. He loves cars and trucks and chasing his little brother all over the house.
We have put together a family profile book. If you would like us to send a copy, please let me know.
Randy is a Baptist Pastor. Our lives are very involved in caring for others and sharing Jesus Christ. Our children all enjoy church and school activities and love to help others.
We have four adopted children and feel that adoption is a natural way to add to our family. As we have considered adoption this time, we see how many special needs children are in need of families and we feel that we can handle many types of special needs since we are an experienced family.
Our first two daughters came to live with us as foster children. We fell in love with them and were chosen to adopt them. We have had some issues but we've come through them together and they've grown into wonderful teenagers. Our three younger daughters were born to us and are also wonderful young ladies.
Our sons joined
us through adoption also. Levi has cerebral palsy but that doesn’t stop him from
entertaining us, swimming, playing and giving great hugs! Elijah is our youngest
son. He has tracheomalaysia so we have to be careful what we feed him, but he
enjoys having lots of siblings and really wants to do whatever they do!
God has brought us beautiful children. Each one is unique and loved for who they are.
Randy and I have taught the children to help around our home so that everyone learns to be self sufficient and we never lose our family feel. We spend most of our time together because I stay at home and Randy’s job as a Pastor allows him a very flexible schedule. Our goal is to help our children grow to become all God meant them to be - to live happy, productive lives.
Do we have enough love to share with one more child? Mothers and fathers of multiple children will tell you they love their children differently, but equally. "Love is multiplied, not divided." The powerful, consuming love someone feels for their child grows exponentially when they have another child.
Randy and I are skilled in the areas of our children's needs and enjoy working with their medical and therapy professionals to bring about improvements in their conditions. We are also willing to accept training for any needs our children may have. The Lord inspires us and gives us joy with the idea of another child to share our family and our love.
God loves you and He loves your baby. Randy and I believe that every child is created perfectly by God's will and God has a purpose for his or her life.
We know you're facing a big decision, and we respect your search for the best future you can plan for the child you carry. Rest assured, if you grant us the honor of parenting your child, he or she will always be loved and cared for.
You will remain in our hearts and prayers.
