Terry and Judy

Dear Birth Mom:

    I write this letter before I know who you are.  I wish I knew your name;

    I wish I knew what your circumstance will be.  But one thing I do know, and that is that Jesus loves you and that He loves your baby.  My husband and I believe that every child is created perfectly by God's will and design whether able or disabled, and has a purpose for his/her life.

    Terry and I have three grown sons and since their birth have built our family by adoption.  Our first daughter joined the family looking more like me than her natural born brothers.  Then came Ana of a different race, with retardation and semi paralysis on one side.  She now volunteers in a nursing home packaging tableware and folding laundry. She knows her value to her family and has a bright spirit and smile.

    Over the years God has brought us beautiful children, mostly as babies, with varying degrees of abilities and disabilities.  Each one is treasured and was received with joy.  Though we have had support of volunteer helpers, therapists and even home nurses along the way, Terry and I have taught the children to help one another and serve each other in love so that we are self sufficient and never loose our family feel. Our goal is to help our children grow to become all God meant them to be - to live happy productive lives, whether dependently or independently.

    We are older parents and yet the Lord energizes us and gives us delight in contemplating another child to bring through the challenges of his/her journey.  We are skilled in the areas of our children's needs and enjoy working with their medical professionals to bring about improvements in their conditions, surgical corrections, etc.  (Tube feeding, transplant surgery, breathing treatments, ventilation, tracheotomies have been some of our training.)

    Please be encouraged.  There is hope for you and your little one - possibly together as you learn to care for his/her special needs, or as you tenderly place your baby in a family that will love him/her for you forever.

    Please consider us a resource to be there for you, and if desired, for your baby.

                                        We care,

                                            Terry and Judy
