Nielsen Family

Our Family:

We are a family of 7 humans and 2 dogs. My husband Kyle and I have been married for 7 years. We have 3 bio kids, 6, 4, & 3. We have custody of my husbands younger sisters daughters. They are 6 and 4 and have been home with us for almost a year. Our oldest biological daughter has a rare metabolic disease and a rare genetic anomaly. Our oldest almost adopted has PTSD and our younger almost adopted has some trauma also.

Our Desire to Adopt:

We have a medically complex child, and have been foster parents for 4 years and are familiar with medical and emotional needs. We know not everyone is willing to parent children with medical needs and we are.

Our Faith In Christ:

Jesus made us who we are for a reason, we believe that he has a greater plan than what we will ever know. We have deep faith that He loves us and we love Him. He made us parents and gave us the heart we have for kids for a reason, and we believe this is that reason.

Dear Birth Mom/Parent:

Hello! We are the Nielsen’s! We are the proud parents of 5 beautiful children. We have extensive medical knowledge and experience along with childhood trauma experience. Our oldest biological child has extremely rare medical issues and she has taught us so much medically and on how to advocate for children.
We feel very blessed to be parents and feel confident in our abilities. We are a younger couple and enjoy traveling and showing the children in our lives the best the world has to offer to them. We have a huge support network and are blessed to have such a strong supportive presence in our community.
